Shrinky Dinks Swimmer Style!

Remember the magic of Shrinky Dinks? Just color, cut them out, pop them in the oven and watch them shrink into tiny plastic objects. Who can resist reliving that experience? Watch this 1970s Shrinky Dinks commercial for 30 seconds of pure nostalgia.

Shrinky Dinks have come a long way since the themed sets offered by Colorforms. Now Shrinky Dink artists are not limited to Mr. T.

Or Mork and Mindy.
It is the 21st century and now Shrinky Dinks are available in blank pages offering endless possibilities. Since we are all about swimming here at Swim Team Lifestyle, I'm going to share my experience with Shrinky Dinks. Here are the items needed to create swim bag tags, key chains, and even jewelry: Shrinky Dink for Ink Jet printer pages, embossing enamel, parchment paper or a brown paper bag, and a hole punch. Don't forget that hole punch! Also, keyrings, jumprings, or other items to give your Shrinky Dinks a purpose.

Next, watch this FABULOUS video by Katy and she will take you through the process step-by-step!

Doesn't she make it look easy? There also simple instructions included with the Shrinky Dink Ink Jet paper packs. Here are how my projects turned out:
